Hanson United Methodist Church
Our mission is to know, grow and show the love of Jesus
At Hanson United Methodist Church we have something for everyone. One of our primary concerns is that everyone has an opportunity to grow spiritually and an opportunity to use their gifts to bless others. Below are some ways you can get involved at Hanson United Methodist.
Having a basic knowledge of the Bible is an important foundation for your child's faith development. They will develop that foundation during Sunday School each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.
Back to School Bash
Each August, our Back to School bash prepares the students of our community with the needed school supplies for the upcoming year. This event is usually held the first Thursday of August
Trunk or Treat
Near Halloween, children from the community can come play games and get candy in a safe and welcoming environment.
Easter Egg Hunt
An Easter Egg Hunt complete with games is held the Saturday before Easter for the community
Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. We have several different adult Sunday school classes with their own style and focus. Come try it out.
Each Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. we have a Bible study for adults. Our pastor teaches this class. We study the meaning of the text and how it applies to our lives. Following Bible study, we go into small groups to explore the topic in more depth.
United Methodist Women (Mission Chicks)
The United Methodist Women's central focus is missions. They study missions, raise money, support missionaries and get involved in helping others through mission work. Take part in this vital ministry of our church. They meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
United Methodist Men
Meeting on the second Saturday of the month at 8:30 a.m., the men eat together, pray together and raise money for missions.
Special or Short Term Programs
We also have other short term studies and special activities for the adults at all stages in their spiritual life
Music is central to the worship experience at Hanson United Methodist Church. Due to COVID precautions, our choir is not meeting during this time. However, the praise leaders continue to lead in singing during worship. Chimes choir has begun and practice on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm. A dulcimer group is also forming. There will be special presentations by these group several times this coming year. Contact Ted Beaty at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested
